COVID-19: 3,540 new cases in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: A total of 3,540 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

The new cases were confirmed through 12,793 tests conducted in various laboratories across the country during the same period, said the Ministry.

There are currently 83,999 active cases of coronavirus infection while 6,359 enjoyed recovery in the past 24 hours.

Likewise, 32 people have succumbed to COVID-19 since January 27 till date. The figure includes those fatalities from COVID-19 left out to be tallied.

Among them, 12 had died in Birendra Army Hospital in Kathmandu till today and remaining others in various hospitals during the same period.
