Kathmandu: Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Qiang has congratulated Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on his assumption of office as the Prime Minister of Nepal.
In a congratulatory message on Wednesday, Premier Li has also expressed his willingness to work with Prime Minister Oli to implement the important agreements reached between the two countries, while promoting China-Nepal high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and other collaborations in various fields. “China and Nepal are friendly neighbours connected by mountains and rivers,” he has said in the message, “Since the establishment of diplomatic relations for 69 years, the two countries always uphold the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, making the relationship a good example of equality and win-win cooperation between countries of different sizes.”
In the message sent via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Premier Li has also said he looked forward to advancing new progress in China-Nepal Strategic Partnership of Cooperation featuring ever-lasting friendship for development and prosperity. —
