Cabinet expanded for second time in Bagmati Province

            Bagmati: Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Bahadur Singh Lama (Tamang) has expanded cabinet for second time on Saturday.

            Chief Minister Lama inducted Min Krishna Maharjan of the Nepali Congress as Minister of Youth and Sports, Prabhat Tamang as Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, Suraj Chandra Lamichhane as Minister for Internal Affairs and Law and Bimal Thakuri as Minister for Culture, Tourism and Cooperative. With this, the cabinet in Bagmati Province has 14 ministers.  

            Amidst a function, Chief of Bagmati Province, Yadav Chandra Sharma, administered oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed ministers.

            Earlier on July 24, Chief Minister Lama appointed CPN (UML)’s Prakash Shrestha as the Minister for Agriculture and Livestock, Kiran Thapa as Health Minister, Krishna Silwal as Minister for Forests and Environment, Sukmaya Tamang as Minister for Industry, Commerce, Land and Administration, Aman Maskey as Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Prem Bhakta Maharjan as Minister for Labour, Employment and Transport.

            Similarly, Nepali Congress’s Kundan Raj Kafle was appointed as Minister for Social Development, Shyam Khadka as Minister for Water Supply, Energy and Irrigation, and Madhu Kumar Shrestha as Minister without portfolio.
