Bir Hospital starts dengue treatment

            Kathmandu, Sept 6 : The Bir Hospital has started providing treatment of dengue from Friday.

            Hospital Director Prof Dr Kedar Century said the hospital itself purchased kit testing the dengue virus and started providing treatment to the patients visiting Bir Hospital for the same. 

            The hospital has made arrangement to provide service to the patients visiting both emergency and OPD for the dengue test.

            The mosquito-borne disease has now spread to more than 50 districts of the country including the Kathmandu Valley.The number of people visiting Teku hospital for dengue test is increasing every day. 

            According to the Teku hospital, around 400 people underwent dengue test on Thursday. Among which, 123 people were infected with the virus. 

Information Officer Roop Narayan Khatiwada said that 11 health workers including four doctors at the Teku-based hospital had also suffered the disease.
