Pokhara to observe mini road festival on September 27

Pokhara, Sept 23: The Restaurant and Bar Association (REWAN) is organizing a mini road festival on September 27 to mark the World Tourism Day.

It will start from 5.00 pm onward to late night. The day which is celebrated every year across the globe on 27 September has the slogan of ‘Tourism and employment, good future for all’.

Surya Bahadur Bhujel, coordinator of the festival, said a daylong festival is to be organized at Lake Side particularly from Fishtail Gate to Barahi Chowk on the occasion.

Among the main attractions of the festival will be different national international food varieties, cultural programme reflecting different ethnic and religious specialties of Nepal, screening of documentary related to adventure sports and tourism attractions, live band, five bands (Panchebaaza) and street-based entertainment programme, the host said.

The festival is to be utilized as an opportunity to capitalize the potentials for enhancing income and employment by attracting international tourists.
