Kathmandu, Sept 27: Police have arrested three more persons in connection with the hacking of software at Agriculture Development Bank Ltd (ADBL) on Friday.
According to the Metropolitan Crime Control Division, the police arrested Yagya Raj Bhatta from Kanchanpur, Malatidevi Neupane from Parbat and Ganesh Prasad Basyal from Kathmandu.
Police held them after Rs 4.5 million was found transferred in Bhatta’s bank account and Rs 2.8 million in Neupane’s bank account.
Spokesperson of the Division, Superintendent of Police, Kedar Dhakal, said that they were arrested as per the statement of Ram Krishna Bhusal, Proprietor of Pratiskhya Construction Service, who was arrested on Thursday.
It was revealed with investigation that Rs 6.5 million was found deposited in Bhusal’s bank account.
A team of Division has been carrying out investigation by arresting 12 persons on the charge of hacking software of ADBL and withdrawing Rs 1.2 million from Panas Remit.
They had sent Rs 47.39 million rupees in the name of different people by hacking the software of ADBL.
However, police was able to recover Rs 6 million from them.
