Surkhet, Oct 24 : Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has said that Karnali region could get benefit from tourism development.
Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun who has reached Surkhet district as part of his visit to Jumla district today to take part in Sinja cultural festival at Sinja of Kanakasundari rural municipality.
While visiting, Kakre Bihar and Bulbule Lake in Surkhet district, he shared that the region could get immense benefit if tourism sector was promoted with effective plan.
He also opined for developing Rara, Sinja and Kakrebihar to attract tourists in the region. The Vice President Pun urged all to visit Sinja valley, the origin of Nepali language and culture.
On the inaugural occasion of the festival scheduled for October 25, it has been shared that the government would be requested through Vice President Pun to carry out archaeological excavations to preserve actual history of culture and civilization of the ancient Sinja Valley.
