Kathmandu : Nepal Telecom (NT) has launched the free distribution of 4G sim cards targeting the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) players, guests, organisers, employees and assistants.
The 13th SAG is taking place in Nepal: Kathmandu, Pokhara and Janakpur from tomorrow, December 1. It will conclude on December 10.
The NT central office informed about this through a press statement today. It is in all providing 4,500 4G sim cards for the SAG people free of cost.
The NT is the partner sponsor of the 13th SAG. The office has set up a counter at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to provide SIM cards to foreign players and guests arriving for the SAG, according to NT joint-spokesperson Krishna Prasad Bhandari.
The NT has ensured additional mobile phone towards in the tournament spots throughout the SAG period. The regional sports event is expected to contribute to promoting the feeling of unity.
Besides, the office has made arrangements for free health hotline service for emergency health services meant for SAG players, coaches, officials, judges and referee for a month. People concerned can dial up 1166 to seek emergency services.
