Jumla : The seventh senate of the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) has decided to run MBBS and MDGP course in the Jumla-based Academy.
A meeting of the KAHS held in Kathmandu under the chair of pro-chancellor of the Academy and Minister for Health and Population Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal took a decision to this effect, Rector of KAHS Dr Niresh Thapa said.
According to him, the Academy will begin courses on MDGP General, MS in Orthopedics, MD in Anesthesiology, MD in Pediatrics, MD in Gynecology, M.Sc in Epidemiology, MBBS, and Bachelor in Nutrition and Pharmacy.
With the recent decision of the senate, the folks in Karnali province are elated. Coordinator of the Academy Establishment Initiation Committee and Internal Affairs and Law Minister of Karnali Province Naresh Bhandari said that the move has added new dimension in the development of Kanrali.
However, the Medical Education Commission should approve the educational programmes of the higher level in the field of media education. Likewise, Registrar of the Academy Bishwaraj Kafle said that the senate meeting has also passed multi-year plan, amended regulations and budget.
