Bagmati state government provides Rs 30 million for cricket stadium

Kathmandu: Bagmati state government has provided Rs 30 million to construct an under-construction cricket stadium in Chitwan district.

The state Chief Minister Dormani Poudel handed a cheque for the amount to president of the Dhurmus Suntali Foundation, Sitaram Kattel and vice president Kunjana Ghimire amid a function at the Office of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, Hetauda on Wednesday.

The Foundation has been looking after the construction of the stadium.

On the occasion, CM Poudel praised the construction and wished for early completion of the project. He viewed that all should join hands to make this project a success as it has faced challenges.

Minister for Social Development Yubaraj Dulal pledged to provide assistance on behalf of the government to the project.

The foundation president Sitaram thanked the government for the monetary help and said the project would be completed soon.
