KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a 15-member Nepali national team under the captaincy of Gyanendra Malla for the triangular T20 cricket series.
CAN General Secretary Ashok Nath Pyakurel informed that CAN has announced a 15-member Nepali team out of 20 players in closed training.
The team includes captain Malla, vice-captain Dipendra Singh Airy, Paras Khadka, Binod Bhandari, Sompal Kami, Karan KC and Sandeep Lamichhane. Similarly, Avinash Bohara, Arif Sheikh, Ashif Sheikh, Kushal Bhurtel, Kushal Malla, Kamal Singh Airy, Sushan Bhari and Shahab Alam have been selected.
Nepal will play a triangular T20 series against the Netherlands and Malaysia at home. The series will be held at the Tribhuvan International Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur from 17 to 24 April. The top two teams in the double round-robin series will compete for the title.
