Coronavirus infection confirmed in 3556 people, 12 deaths in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: In the last 24 hours, an additional 3,556 people across the country have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus (COVID-19). Another 12 infected people have died.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, COVID-19 infection was confirmed in 114 out of 3,442 in RT-PCR test and 893 antigen tested on 12,400 samples.

At the same time, the total number of coronavirus infected in Nepal has reached 303,561. Of these, 3,176 people, including 12, have died, while 277,951 have been recovered so far. In the last 24 hours, 378 people have recovered, according to the ministry.

Of the 1,912 infected people added on Monday, they are from Kathmandu Valley. There are 1,567 in Kathmandu, 223 in Lalitpur and 122 in Bhaktapur. Similarly, 307 people have been infected in Banke, 134 in Morang, 98 in Parsa, 96 in Chitwan and 95 in Rupandehi.

Similarly, 62 cases of corona virus have been confirmed in Kaski, 43 in Jhapa, 42 in Sunsari, 41 in Kanchanpur, 34 in Palpa, 32 in Makwanpur and 32 in Baitadi.
