Coronavirus infection in another 3750 people, 67 deaths in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: The coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 3,750 people across the country in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 2,759 people have been confirmed infected in 9,598 RT-PCR tests and 1,041 in 5,584 antigen tests. The infection has killed 67 people in the last 24 hours. Similarly, 5,225 people have been recovered from COVID-19 infections.

According to the Ministry, the highest number of COVID-19 infections was found in 921 in Kathmandu, 163 in Lalitpur, 151 in Morang, 117/117 in Nuwakot, Kaski and 116 in Surkhet.

Similarly, coronavirs infection was found in 84 people in Sunsari, 83 people in Chitwan, 71 people in Kailali, 56 people in Bhaktapur, 54 people in Nawalparasi East, 50 people in Kavre, 49 people in Makwanpur and 42 people in Dhanusha district.

Likewise, COVID-19 infection has been confirmed in 81 children under the age of 10, while 211 in the age group of 11 to 20 years have been added, according to the ministry.

A total of 2,337,799 people have so far received first dose of vaccine while 691,494 received second dose of vaccine. The ministry says there remain 1,189 people in ICUs and 366 in ventilaters across the country. Still, 69,686 people are staying in home isolation and 5,589 in institutional isolation.

The ministry informs that a total of 4,449 people aged 60 and above have lost their lives.

Meanwhile, the UNDP Nepal handed over medical equipment and supplies (200 units of Biomedical Oxygen Concentrators 5L and 200 units of Biomedical Oxygen Concentrators 10L) to the Ministry of Health and Population today.
