COVID-19: 295 more infected, two people died

KATHMANDU: In the last 24 hours, 295 more people have been infected with the coronavirus. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the healty system carried out 8,243 tests in the last 24 hours.

According to the ministry, there are still 7,278 active infection cases in the country today. The infection rate in Nepal has reached 18.2 percent. Lalitpur is the only district where more than 500 people have been found infected. There are 10 districts with more than 200 infection cases. These districts include Morang, Sunsari, Dhanusha, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Kaski, East Nawalparasi, Rupandehi, Banke and Kailali.

The number of infected people in Humla and Mugu is zero. In the last 24 hours, 478 people have returned home after successful cure. At the same time, the number of people recovered in Nepal so far is 797,926. The infection free rate in Nepal is 97.7 percent.

Two people have died of corona infection today. So far, 11,471 people have died from the infection. There are 6,752 in home isolation, 526 in institutional isolation, 193 in intensive care unit and 57 in ventilator.

Thirty-four thousand were vaccinated

Similarly, 34,716 people have been vaccinated against coronavirus today. So far, 8,824,815 people have been vaccinated with the first dose and 7,541,267 people have been vaccinated with the full dose.
