COVID-19: 299 new cases confirmed, six deaths in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Additional 299 COVID-19 cases across the country have been added in the past 24 hours.

Likewise, six people died of the deadly virus taking death toll to 11,489 so far. The infection caseloads were from the total 11,151 COVID-19 tests.

Active infection cases across the country were 7,642, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

As of now, 7,169 infected people are in home-isolation and 473 in institutional-isolation.

The recovery numbers reached 799,176 with 260 in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate stood at 97.7 percent and infection rate 18 percent.

Likewise, 224 have been admitted to intensive care units and 60 are on ventilator support. So far, 8,996,253 people have been vaccinated against the infection with 71,892 in the past 24 hours, said the Ministry.
