COVID-19: 332 new cases confirmed, with four deaths

KATHMANDU: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 332 more people across the country in the last 24 hours. This was revealed in 9,920 samples tested for the virus in various laboratories across the country.

The number of active cases of COVID-19 stands at 7,369. The infection rate in Nepal is 17.9 percent.

At present, 6,981 people are being treated in home isolation, 388 in institutional isolation with 206 in ICU and 40 in ventilator support.

With the new cases, the number of people infected with the virus has reached 810,122. The districts with more than 500 active cases are Kathmandu and Lalitpur.

Also today, 232 people recovered from the virus. The infection free rate is 97.7 percent, according to the ministry.

Meanwhile, four people succumbed to COVID-19 today, taking the death toll so far to 11,513.

Similarly, 147,262 people were vaccinated against corona virus today.
