270 new COVID-19 cases, two deaths in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Additional 270 COVID-19 cases and two infection-related deaths have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours.

The caseloads were from the total 10,446 infection tests, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

The active COVID-19 cases have hit 7,287 across the country. With this, the death toll from the virus has reached 11,518.

The number of people who have got over the deadly virus has reached 801,722 with 302 in the past 24 hours.

The recovery rate is 97.7 percent while death rate 1.4 percent.

Lately, 196,853 people have been vaccinated against the COVID-19, said the Ministry.

At present, 6,896 infected people are in home-isolation and 391 in institutional-isolation.

Similarly, 175 were admitted to intensive care units and 33 on the ventilator support.
