Kamal Thapa loses RPP Chair, Lingden wins

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) general convention has elected Rajendra Lingden as Chairman of the party.

The longtime Chairman of the party Kamal Thapa has lost the election.

According to the final result, Thapa secured 1618 votes while Lingden got 1817 votes.

Meanwhile, Thapa lambasted against former King Gyanendra Shah for interfering the party election, supporting Lingden.

After the final result, he has also congratulated Lingden and vowed to continue party united.
