COVID-19: 235 new cases, four deaths

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has recorded 235 new cases of coronavirus in the latest update.

In the last 24 hours, four persons succumbed to coronavirus.

A total of 9,084 persons underwent PCR tests in the same period.

There are currently 4,879 active cases of coronavirus in Nepal.

Similarly, 212 infected persons got recovery in the last 24 hours. It reached the total recovery at 811,958.

The total fatality caused by COVID-19 reached 11,594. There are more than 500 infection cases in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.

Similarly, there are more than 200 cases of coronavirus in Sunsari, Kaski, Banke and Kailali districts.

The districts having no coronavirus are Solukhumbu, Rasuwa, Manang, Mustang, Humla, Mugu and Bajura. The infection rate is 17 percent.

A total of 139,152 persons got vaccines against coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

There are 4,651 persons receiving recovery in home isolation, 228 in institutional isolation, 89 in ICU and 24 on ventilator support.
