Kathmandu: Dr Kailash Kumar Bhandari has been appointed as the Medical Director of Nepal Orthopaedic Hospital in Jorpati, Kathmandu. The hospital is being operated as a non-profit charity and is serving orthopaedic patients in Nepal.
An orthopaedic specialist, Dr Bhandari has been working in the same hospital for the past 20 years. The hospital sources shared that Dr Bhandari was appointed to the post for the next three years after the term of Dr Yubaraj Kharel ended.
Established in the year 1998 under the name of Khagendra Navajivan Kendra, this hospital was established as a charity by the Kendra and Rotary International.
The hospital provides treatment services to poor and low-income patients for free and in subsidized rates. There are currently 19 specialist doctors in this 100-bed hospital.
