President, Vice President visit Pashupatinath Temple

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun have performed pooja at the Pashupatinath Temple on the occasion of Mahashivaratri.

They were received at the temple premises by the Pashupati Area Development Fund officials and Minister for Culture Bhanubhakta Dhakal.

On the occasion of Mahashivaratri, a huge crowd of devotees had gathered in Pashupatinath area on Thursday. It is said that about one million people have reached Pashupatinath area today. It is customary to stay awake even on Thursday night.
