COVID-19: 8,243 more recovered, 68 died in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: In the last 24 hours, 5042 people have been infected with coronavirus across the country while 8,243 people have been cured. Another 68 died from coronavirus infection across the country reaching the death toll 7,793 people.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the health system has performed 11,471 RT-PCR sample test and 3,540 antigen test.

Likewise, the total number of corona infections in Nepal has reached 598,204. Out of which 484,373 people have been recovered and 92,928 people are still in active infection.

According to the ministry, 86,268 of the infected people are currently in home isolation across the country. Similarly, 6,660 people are in institutional isolation. The ministry informed that 1,451 are undergoing treatment in ICUs and 384 in ventilator across the country.

Of the newly infected, 923 are from Kathmandu Valley.
