Country records another 1,920 Covid-19 cases, 34 deaths

KATHMANDU: In the last 24 hours, an additional 1,920 people have been found infected with the coronavirus.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, RTPCR tests were performed on 6,000 people and 3,836 antigen tests.

There are 424 infected people in Kathmandu Valley. There are 292 in Kathmandu district, 100 in Lalitpur and 32 in Bhaktapur. The number of people recovered or discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours is 3,007. Thirty-four people have died due to the infection.

Of the 6,65,777 people infected with the coronavirus in Nepal so far, 584,334 have been recovered and 9,009 have died.

A total of 2,583,790 people so far have received first dose of vaccine while 750,131 people received second dose.

Likewise, 37,489 people are in home isolation and 2,847 in institutional isolation. Of them, 706 are in ICUs and 200 in ventilators for the treatment across the country.
