KATHMANDU: The South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) on Sunday proposed to hold the 13th edition of the SAAF Championship in Nepal. Earlier, Nepal had claimed that it would organize the 13th edition.
Bangladesh has said it will not organize SAFF for internal reasons, paving the way for others to host. Along with Nepal, India, Sri Lanka and Maldives had also shown interest in hosting the tournament.
For this, only last Friday, Nepal had presented its program to the Federation regarding the competition. The proposal of the Federation has been received by Indraman Tuladhar, General Secretary of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).
If Nepal gets a chance to host the competition, it will be in October. Five countries of South Asia will participate in the competition.
