COVID-19: 12 deaths while 994 recover in last 24 hrs

KATHMANDU: Country reported a total of 994 new infection of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

This was confirmed from 6,137 RT-PCR tests and 3,703 Antigen tests, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

This takes the total caseload in the country to 776,325.

Likewise, 1,368 were discharged and recovered during the same period, taking the recovered cases to 738,034.

As of September 11, the number of active cases is 27,355.

The Ministry stated that 13 districts have more than 500 active cases each and there are 21 districts having more than 200 active cases of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, 12 people succumbed to the virus, taking the death toll to 10,936 in the country.

According to the Ministry, 456 COVID patients are receiving treatment in ICU while 122 are in ventilator’s support. Also today, 68,630 persons were vaccinated against COVID-19.

So far, 5,769,328 people have taken their first dose while those who got their full dose are 5,160,524.
