167 cases of coronavirus in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: A total of 167 cases of coronavirus were recorded in the country in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health and Population recorded such number of infection after conducting PCR tests on 6,447 persons.

With the latest update, the total infection in Nepal reached 827,058, the Ministry said, adding that coronavirus cases reported after antigen tests reached 96,125.

Similarly, 226 persons got recovery from the coronavirus in the last 24 hours reaching the total recovery at 810,497. One dies of coronavirus One more person died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

With this, total deaths caused by coronavirus reached 11,583. Currently, the death rate is 1.4 percent.

The Ministry has informed that the latest record of those receiving anti-COVID vaccines stands at 155,458.

Now, the active cases of coronavirus at present is 4,979 in Nepal.
