COVID-19: Over 10,000 infection cases, three deaths in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: The country recorded 10,703 COVID-19 cases and three infection related deaths in the last 24 hours.

The caseloads were from the total 23,092 tests, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

The number of active infected cases has hit 65,374 in the country. The recovery numbers have reached 819,575 with 766 in the past 24 hours.

The recovery rate is 91.4 percent and infection rate 17.6.

So far, the death toll from the virus has reached 11,635.

At present, 63,734 infected people have been in home-isolation, and 1,640 in institution-isolation.

Similarly, 194 have been admitted to intensive care units and 35 on ventilator support.

Total 307,401 people were vaccinated against the infection in the past 24 hours. So far, 16,200,379 received first dose of the vaccine and 12,746,580 fully vaccinated.

Similarly so far, 50,207 people have been administered booster dose.
