COVID-19: Over 6,000 cornavirus cases, 10 deaths in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: The country has recorded 6,827 cases of coronavirus and 10 infection related deaths in the past 24 hours.

The caseloads were generated from the total 19,869 virus tests, according to latest COVID-19 update released by the Ministry of Health and Population amid a regular press meet on Friday.

The death toll from the infection has reached 11,697. The figure of active infection cases has hit 89,941. So far, a total of 842,336 infected people have got free of the deadly virus with 5,432 in the past 24 hours.

The recovery rate is 89.2 percent. At present, 88,084 infected people have been in home isolation and 1,857 in institutional isolation. Likewise, 256 have been admitted to intensive care units and 45 are on a ventilator support.

According to the Ministry, 128,563 people were vaccinated against the virus in the past 24 hours. So far, 299,009 people received booster dose.
