Coronavirus infection declines, nearly 6,000 get rid of infection on Saturday alone

KATHMANDU: Coronavirus infection has decreased for some days in Nepal. The Ministry of Health and Population informed that out of the total test, some 34 percent were tested positive for the virus in the latest update.

Earlier, the Ministry had recorded the positive result in more than 50 percent of the tested population. Among 14,562 tests, 4,904 were tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday.

In the same period, 5,924 persons got rid of coronavirus infection. Meanwhile, six persons lost lives to the contagion in the last 24 hours. The number of active coronavirus stands at 87,329 now.

The number of people losing lives to contagion has so far reached 11,703.

Meanwhile, the number of people receiving the first dose of anti-COVID has reached over 16.5 million while of those receiving second dose reached 14 million and of those receiving the booster dose reached over 333 thousand.
