Upcoming two days likely to be hotter, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology predicts

Kathmandu, May 17: The minimum and maximum temperature in most parts of the country has gradually increased over the past few days.
In view of the increasing temperature, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has urged people to remain cautious warning that the upcoming two days are likely to be excessively hot and could witness heat waves as well.
In a bulletin issued by the Department on Thursday stated that there will be excessively hot and heat waves could occur in Tarai belt.
Some parts of Sudurpaschim and Lumbini provinces have recorded more than 40 degree Celsius over the past few days.
The Department has suggested the people to stay at home and avoid outdoor activities as far as possible and drink more water.
Likewise, the Department has said that there will be partly cloudy in Koshi and Madesh provinces along with the hilly regions of the rest of the provinces and mainly fair in the rest of the country today.
Light rain or thunder and lightning is likely to occur at one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces, the Department said.
