ADBL software hacking: one Nepali agent arrested from Syangja

            Kathmandu, Sept 26 : The Agent involved in the recent Agriculture Development Bank software hacking case has been arrested from Waling of Syangja today.

            Of the 11 involved in swiping money from the Bank, six including him are arrested while five are still on the run, according to the Metropolitan Crime Control Division, Teku Kathmandu.

            The arrested agent has been identified as Ram Krishna Bhusal, proprietor of Pratiksha Construction Service Ltd, informed SSP Sahakul Thapa.

            Bhusal was nabbed with the help of District Police Office, Syangja and he will be brought to Kathmandu for further investigation into the case. He had deposited Rs 6.4 million in his bank account which he had not withdrawn yet, police said.

            The mastermind of the bank heist is a foreign national Peter also known as ‘Kale.’

            The hacker of bank software had planned to take away Rs 5 billion. So far, they swiped Rs 7 million, out of which, Rs 6 million has been confiscated. However, Rs 1 million was already taken to India via hundi, illegal way, police said.            

It has been revealed that the mastermind of bank software had planned to take away Rs 5 billion.
