Kathmandu, Oct 17 : Former Finance Minister Madhukar Shumsher Rana passed away at the age of 78 on Wednesday. He was admitted in Medicity Hospital in Kathmandu after he faced heart problem. He was also suffering from kidney.
He served as the Finance Minister while then king Gyanendra Shah took power. Mr Rana was heading South Asian Institute of Management and Chairman of Nepal Management Association.
He is also the founding vice chairman of Nepal Hockey Association.
Rana was survived with wife and 2 children.
