Baglung, Oct 26 : The Dhaulagiri Zonal Hospital of Baglung has been provided the medical equipments of Rs 3 million for expanding its services. The Taiwanese Rotarians collected the amount and bought equipments for the hospital.
The zonal hospital management committee chairperson KB Ranamagar informed that the equipments were provided to the hospital during the free health camp organized here recently.
The medical equipments include ECO machine, ultrasound machine, dental chairs and others.
Medical superintendent Dr Shailendra BK Pokhrel informed that with these equipments, it would be easy for the hospital to provide quality and convenient service to the patients. “We had few machines as X-ray machine but the ECO machine helps a lot to diagnose the health condition more effectively. Similarly, for lack of dental chairs, it was difficult to provide dental service. The assistance is therefore huge relief to the hospital,” he added.
The Taiwanese Rotarians have also been providing assistance to Nepal’s health sector in an individual way.
Hospital development committee member Shalikram Sharma also informed that patients suffering various diseases would get better service with the new equipment in place.
Governor Joy representing the Rotary International district Taiwan urged the hospital to best utilize the medical equipments.
