Kathmandu: An 18 member team of Bahrain Prince Mohamed Hamad Mohamed Al Khalifa have returned home on Friday after successful scaling of Mt Lobuche. It is one of the peak in Everest region with a height of 6,119 m.
The team successfully scaled the Mt Lobuche on October 3, 2020.
According to Seven Summit Treks, the high-profile team of climbers comprising Prince Khalifa, first South Asian climber to scale all 14 peaks above 8,000 m Mingma Sherpa, the youngest person to climb Everest without the use of supplementary oxygen Tashi Lakpa Sherpa and other members the Bahrain Royal Guard expedition.
The government of Nepal has given permission the Bahrain Prince Khalifa and his team to scale the mount Lobuche despite COVID-19 pandemic. It was the first adventure team to get such permission after the announcement of lockdown in Nepal.
